The Garden Igloo
Our new weather-proof, rust resistant, multi-purpose geodesic Garden Igloo is sure to make a big talking point at your next BBQ or summer garden party.
This funky German-designed geodesic dome can be used in winter and summer and makes for an ideal seating area on cool summer evenings.
Our Chester STORE customers also suggest using this mini Eden project dome as a funky alternative to adding a costly conservatory to the house, or how about using our Garden Igloo as a kids play area, as a (not so) traditional geodesic greenhouse or even an unusually shaped garden shed for storing garden furniture over winter or on rainy summer days.
Impressively, this stylish garden haven offers a simple 'no tools required' build in just a couple of hours. When assembled the Garden Igloo offers a 360° window on the world. Aside from looking good and providing an amazing view from within, the dome gently retains heat on cool summer evenings making it a perfect retreat. And if the British summer does surprise us with a once a decade scorcher and the internal temperature proves a little warm during the heat of the day, simply open the windows and door on the Garden Igloo for a cooling self-ventilating breeze.
The geodesic dome has a 3.6m diameter and included is a neat mini-sandbag system ring (sand to be purchased separately) in the base for use on grass/soft ground or use the clamps provided for anchoring into concrete, wood or stone.
Now for the technical bit! The Garden Igloo is wind resistant up to 62km/h, has a snow load capacity of up to 40kg (that's about 15cm depth) and can withstand temperatures from -20°C to +60°C so no matter what the Great British weather decides to throw at you, you're (quite literally) covered!
Dimensions: 220cm high x 360cm diameter
Simple self-assembly required. Approximate time 2 hours but it's worth it!
Please note that although the garden igloo can be left out all year round, you may prefer to pack it away over winter to prolong the lifespan.
A light summer canopy is also available, simply give us a call on 0844 414 2885 or dropping us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
