Utility Room Storage

Sunday, May 24th, 2009

I’ve just spoken to a customer who wants to sort out the storage in her utility room.  I’m sure she won’t mind me sharing my ideas to make the best use of her space with you…

To make the laundry less of a chore, put up open shelves and racks on the walls. Clips or pegs mounted over the washing machine can hold stray socks, keys and clothing care labels. Decant detergents and softeners into sturdy, clear containers that are small enough to handle and pour with ease. Apothecary bottles or vintage-style jars are perfect for the job and add colour and style. Enamel flower buckets stand up to the humid atmosphere and are attractive organisers for spray starch, distilled water and dryer sheets etc.

The Original Fatboy beanbag has finally won me over

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

When our operations manager Lindsey first dragged an oversized beanbag into my office muttering something about fatboy I could have very easily taken umbrage.

Lindsey’s thoughts were that the Fatboy Original beanbag as it’s called would make a great addition to our range of space saving products.  Mine was, “don’t be so stupid, it’s huge! How can it possibly fit into a range of storage-based products”.  However, Lindsey was quick to point out that the beanbag’s were a great item to stash in a cupboard or under a bed and produce for extra seating when company calls. Indeed the Fatboy Original beanbag is such a comfy beast that it can also be used as a guest bed in spare bedrooms (or so the marketing blurb mentioned).

House Beautiful on Bathroom Storage

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

at last...a suction caddy that won't fall off the wall!

Out now, June’s issue of House Beautiful has a great article on bathroom storage and featured our range of Powerlock Suction Storage Caddies for better bathroom storage suggesting that they were a great idea for “a quick bathroom update”.

Our bathroom caddies are also neat because they don’t require any drilling and stick by suction alone…better still, unlike some cheaper alternatives we guarantee they’ll stay on the wall and help clear the bathroom of all that clutter.
