New to our range of solid oak furniture is our shoe bench with additional storage which is great for use in hallways where space is at a premium.

The top of the bench makes for a great seat when putting on shoes, and the storage space at the bottom has been designed to keep your shoes and boots neat and tidy. The bench seat lifts up for additional storage of scarves, gloves, hats, etc. and the lid is held open by a hydraulic damper which helps to protect little fingers.

Crafted from oak which has been sourced from managed plantations, our shoe bench is delivered fully assembled and comes with a 5 year guarantee.

Lid opening needs space to open due to lip makes it difficult to use

WEll made and well packaged. The only thing that was a negative for me is the fact that I measured very carefully to ensure that the bench would fit into the space I had available which it did perfectly, but when the lid is opened it hits the back wall and needs to me moved out to access it.

The piece of furniture itself is attractive and we are happy with how it looks. However it is not actually deep enough to put normal shoes across the bottom - an obvious design fault that is rather frustrating and means we can't put as many shoes in / as neatly as we were expecting. Also needs to be quite far from the wall to be able to open the top flap - again you would expect a better design / hinge mechanism to mean that it can be used easily. Altogether disappointing.

I am so sorry to hear you are disappointed with your order. I have checked our communication with you and it seems we only had one online "live chat" conversation with you which was answered immediately. If you did attempt a further live chat that was unanswered I am very sorry but I'm afraid we didn't receive this and we certainly wouldn't take days to respond. I can see from our notes on your order we offered the option of 3 different delivery days each with a few days notice and you opted for a Saturday delivery. I can only apologise that the courier arrived so early and I am unsure why this happened but I will contact the couriers to ask for an explanation. Regarding the product fault , we genuinely want you to be 100% happy with your order and wouldn't expect you to keep a faulty item. My colleague has contacted you regarding this however has been unable to reach you.
