It took us a while to find a shoe storage cabinet with a bit of style AND that had a decent built quality and we think you'll approve of the NewEst shoe cupboard.

Designed by Ristomatti Ratia, this stylish slim-line shoe cabinet is finished in a choice of oak or walnut. It'll neatly store away up to 20 pairs of assorted shoe sizes and offer many years of service.

The clean lines on this robust shoe storage cupboard mean that it'll effortlessly blend into any hallway and really help clear your space of those messy piles of shoes that everyone always trips over.

Better still, unlike some of the poorly made alternatives that we've tried and tested, the NewEst shoe cupboard is ventilated at the rear to stop those smelly shoe odours that can often build-up inside. The cabinet also has a convenient shelf within the top drawer to store your keys, wallet, post, telephone directory etc.

Dimensions: 100cm high x 100cm wide x 26cm deep (Main image shows Oak cabinet and Walnut cabinet is shown above) Please note, this item requires self-assembly. Top storage drawer contains a handy inner shelf and is slightly smaller than the lower drawers which holds shoe up to size 10.

STORE being STORE we've searched long and hard for a decent range of shoe storage cupboards. In fact it's taken us nearly 2 years of testing and rejecting the poor quality shoe storage units that are currently available in UK. In the end we had to travel all the way to the chilly Baltic Sea to find this stylish range from the Gulf of Finland which is Exclusive to STORE.

I’ve only given 3 stars as the product was not great quality for the price paid and construction instructions/illustrations were not clear and contained errors. Some screws were missing/odd sizes and others were too small for the intended purpose (magnetic door fastener - ensure you have spares). I had expected a higher quality product from the description but it does the job.

For the money paid I was expecting a solid wooden piece of furniture and was sorely disappointed with the MDF panels and flimsy, plastic drawer hinges. The only solid wood element is the supporting frame. I had two occurrences of a hole having been mis-drilled and one of these had had a sticky circle of mis-matched plastic glued over the top; unfortunately it had moved and so is firmly fixed to the left of the mis-drilled hole. It was nothing shy of a nightmare to construct with none of the panels being labelled and in a couple of instances, the diagrams actually invert the panels from one image to the next. And I say this having put together numerous items of IKEA furniture so am hardly a novice to this style of furniture assembly. That said, it does look nice once you have actually assembled it but I definitely do not feel it is worth the price tag for what it actually is :-(

Good quality wooden frame and doors but not sure about how robust the plastic hinge mechanism will be in the long term. Design is attractive and modern and exactly what we were looking for. Flat pack assembly required far too many different types of fastening - could be rationalised for inexperienced DIY people! Overall result pleasing.

It's a very good product, and looks terrific. However, I wasn't expecting it to be flat pack, and it took us two nights to put together and was very fiddly and complicated. That's two nights we won't get back and weren't expecting to have to devote to making a shoe cabinet. The product was also quite expensive, which made me assume it wouldn't be flat pack. Flat pack is a total menace.

The cabinet looks good externally and the dimensions were just right for our hallway. Assembly took around 3 hours - some of the instructions lacked clarity. It's not possible to fit as many pairs of shoes in as we hoped; flat ballet pumps are fine but men's shoes or ankle boots get squashed, if going for maximum number for storage. Pleased with the product overall.

Assembly instructions not detailed enough and therefore takes hours to assemble. Only stores a small number of bulky shoes, so not fit for purpose. On the plus side, it looks nice.

I ordered a shoe cabinet that was difficult to assemble as one of the front doors had holes drilled in the wrong places. Also the screws holding the white shoe trays in place are too short. They only just stay in place and twice in three weeks the screw fell off and we had to put it back in place. Very poor quality!! Will not be buying anything from your company again. Sorry.

Thanks for the feedback - we arranged for a replacment door as soon as we heard there was a problem but hadn't heard about any problems with the screws. There are two lengths in the pack of fixings which sounds like the wrong ones have been put in the incorrect place which will cause the shoe cabinet not to function correctly.
